Dating from the 17th Century, the house has undergone extensive refurbishment and is now a spacious, rural retreat. Original features including stone mullioned windows, huge fireplaces and exposed beams, are complemented by contemporary furnishings, clean lines and stylish décor. The extensive grounds include beautiful manicured gardens, an ornamental pond, croquet lawn, tennis court and a lake with its own island.
Located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Chaffeymoor Grange is the ideal venue for house parties, weddings and joint family holidays. The house also offers the perfect country location for business meetings, training seminars and team building events.
Downstairs, the house boasts a superb oak-panelled drawing room looking out onto the terrace and gardens, an impressive dining room seating 20, a games room, morning room with French doors opening onto the terrace, a large well-appointed kitchen leading into the breakfast room, ancillary kitchen/utility room and two cloakrooms.
Children will love the new Kids Den with widescreen TV and DVD player. Most of the reception rooms are linked to a central sound system and hard-wired internet access is available throughout the house.
Upstairs, the accommodation comprises 10 spacious bedrooms, all doubles or twins, plus nine luxurious bathrooms, mostly en-suite. The house will sleep 20 people comfortably, with up to 4 additional children in z-beds and cots.
Tennis, croquet, pool, table tennis and garden games, including a 5 aside football pitch, are available on-site. Clay shooting, archery, horse riding and golf can all be arranged close by.
A full range of catering options are available, from pre-prepared dishes delivered for you to heat and serve yourselves, a celebratory dinner cooked on-site with waitress service or full catering throughout your stay.
Conveniently situated just off the A303 in North Dorset, Chaffeymoor Grange is located on a south facing hillside on the edge of the pretty village of Bourton. Fabulous walks from the back door include footpaths to the excellent local pub and to The Stourhead Estate (a National Trust House and Garden).
Adults and children alike will love Longleat House and Safari Park, Wookey Hole and the caves at Cheddar Gorge. Racegoers will enjoy the jump racing at Wincanton Racecourse and gardening enthusiasts will find award winning gardens at East Lambrook Manor and Mapperton House.
The historic towns of Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Bath are all close by.
